	about the artist
	Barbara Dybala is a Dallas based mosaic artist and graphic designer who graduated from the University of North Texas Fine Arts Program. With travels to the corners of the world, Barbara celebrates nature and the fullness of life and lives creatively. Barbara's many loves come together in the creation of her orbs. Her mosaic studio, home and property are laden with a diverse sampling of her imagination. Visitors to her studio become involved in her creative and spiritual world — and they are changed forever. They have experienced the "Art Happening."
	artist statement
	My art is like an "Art Happening." In my mind it's bigger than life. It's a cause for action or reaction. Currently working in the shape of orbs (large concrete mosaic balls), my mind drifts to thoughts of larger and larger orbs and installations. I ponder their placements in relations to unlike objects and unusual places. Working on these orbs I drift in day dreams of events that could occur because of my art's existence. Sometimes I just have to take a nap. My art celebrates my life, the energy form of who I am — a spirit that causes the viewer to walk around, bend, laugh, touch, feel, converse and ponder.
